Introducing the newest Vineyard and Cellar Door to the Darling Downs: Rosalie House. The Thompsons realised the beauty of the land many years ago and are proud to share their piece of paradise!
Doyle and Vicki Thompson and their daughters, Renee, Teshla and Emily hand planted the vines in the rich black soil of the region in 2005. Since then it’s been a labor of love caring for the vines, having the grapes harvested and produced into delicious local wine. This family owned business venture brings the family's diverse talents together to realise a special vision for the perfect wine and food experience for their guests. The Thompson family are committed to sourcing local produce from the surrounding region, their goal is to create simple yet ever so delicious food that pairs beautifully with their wine.
Rosalie House, an original Queenslander homestead & the Rosalie House Vineyard sit at a comfortable 510 metres above sea level on the eastern edge of the Darling Downs.
Honouring the history of the Darling Downs, the Cellar Door is a beautifully restored railway cottage that was moved from its proud location on Mort Street, opposite the Bellevue Hotel, Toowoomba. The Cellar Door & Café now sit pride of place among the vines offering magnificent views across the Lilyvale Valley.
