McMartin's Farm is commercial family owned and operated farm in Bli Bli, in the heart of the Sunshine Coast, nestled beside the Maroochy Wetlands Sanctuary and the Maroochy River. This 56-acre, piece of paradise has been in the family since 1945.

It started off as a sugar cane farm then later became a dairy farm. At that stage there was no road access across the river and the road to Nambour was just a rough dirt track. Supplies of groceries, bread, meat and mail used to come by river on the mail boat. Cream from the dairy went by mail boat to Yandina then by unrefrigerated train to the butter factory at Caboolture.

In the early 50's they started growing small crops which has continued to the present day. While beans and tomatoes used to be the crop of choice, strawberries have been the predominate crop for 40 years, but they stopped growing commercially 8 years ago and now grow only enough for the farm shop.

​They have expanded their Lychee and custard apple orchards to meet the increased demand for these fruits.​

They currently grow 25,000 strawberry plants fruiting between May to September, 1000 custard apple trees fruiting between February to June and 1000 Lychee trees fruiting in January. You can also pick your own mandarins.

You can choose to either buy from the fridge or pick your own (PYO) strawberries.

The PYO price is market indicative and kept as low as possible to enable families to afford this little luxury. It's a fantastic experience for children and adults alike to pick the fruit straight from the field.

And remember, don't eat the fruit before you pay!

Erbachers Fruit and Vegetables are a family-owned business who have been trading on the Sunshine Coast since 1965. Their store was founded by Eric and Thelma Erbacher and is currently operated by second and third generation family members. They are proud to employ extended family as well as friendly local staff, many of which have worked there for nearly 20 years.

Over the last 40 years they have strived to provide the freshest and best quality fruit and vegetables on the Sunshine Coast at very reasonable prices. They are passionate about supporting local growers and their produce and will always source locally where they can. They also grow a lot of their own produce throughout the year, including over 20 different fresh herbs, strawberries, kale, shallots, silverbeet, brussels sprouts, cabbage, corn and more.

All other fresh produce that they are unable to source locally is sourced from the Brisbane Marketplace in Rocklea, where their full load semi-trailer will go 3 to 4 times a week to restock on fresh fruit and vegetables.

What are your opening hours?

During winter, we open from 11am- 7pm Sunday- Thursday and 11am-8pm Friday- Saturday.

During summer, we open from 11-7:30pm Sunday- Thursday and 11am- 8pm Friday- Saturday

We open on all public holidays, except Christmas Day.

Do you have gluten free options?

We aren't gluten free certified and our food wouldn't be suitable for a celiac. However, the plain chips and grilled fish don't contain gluten, but are cooked in an environment with products that do.

Who makes your gelato?

We do! Our awesome gelato team make our gelato and sorbets on site multiple times a week at our Alexandra Headland store. We then distribute it our other locations a couple times a week.
We use fine Italian ingredients using proven Italian recipes in all our gelato and sorbets. Full cream milk is used in our gelato and as for our sorbet, a kilo of real fruit is used in each tub!
