Woombye is situated in Queensland’s Sunshine Coast region, approximately a 1 hour drive north of Brisbane. Surrounded by beautiful agricultural and dairy country, it is the perfect place to make cheese.

Originally founded by Graeme and Karen Paynter in 2013, their range has grown to include Camembert, Triple Cream Brie, Blackall Gold Washed Rind, Woombye Ash Brie, Vintage Cheddar and of course, their indulgent Truffle Triple Cream Brie.

Today, Woombye Cheese Company is owned by Beth O’Leary who has a passion for artisan cheese. She travelled Australia with her family in 2019 doing the ‘Big Lap’ which became the ‘Big Lap of Cheese’ when they managed to visit over 30 cheesemakers across the country!

Maleny Cheese brings you handcrafted cheese and yoghurt from the pure local milk of the Sunshine Coast hinterland and a genuine farm to plate experience. Their cafe and cheesery is owned and run by the Bucher family in Maleny, Queensland.

They use time honoured traditions and the pure local milk of the rolling green hills, so you get a true taste of their special region. The Maleny Food Co. story began in 2001 when it was first founded as Colin James Fine Foods, opening on Maple St, Maleny.
